Unlike the traditional jazz societies in the Central Valley that we mentioned recently (information from battleofthebigbands.com), this Traditional Jazz Society has been known to the Tri-Valley Jazz Society for some time. We first visited eastbaytradjazz.org a few months ago, but forgot about it until we rediscovered it several days ago. Its information has become more relevant now we are doing regular posts about jazz in the area.
First, however, it needs to be mentioned that the East Bay Traditional Jazz Society is not in the Tri-Valley, but in Fremont. Therefore, events put on by the East Bay Traditional Jazz Society, as long as they take place outside the Tri-Valley region, will not be mentioned in the Tri-Valley Jazz Events Calendar.
The East Bay Traditional Jazz Society, unlike the Tri-Valley Jazz Society, does not list all the jazz events in the area. It instead focuses only on events actually put on by the Society. The East Bay Traditional Jazz Society's main location for jazz events is Bronco Billy's. Bronco Billy's is a restaurant in Fremont, California, (broncobillyspizza.com) where the "Jazzinators" play every month. Their last performance was on November 7, 2017, at 7 PM.
The East Bay Traditional Jazz Society, however, is involved in other events. They sponsored the 17th Annual Traditional Jazz Youth Band Festival at Kennedy High School and played at the 10th Annual Youth Dixieland Band Jazz Festival in early 2017.
