Tonight is the Tri-Valley Jazz Trio concert with blues and jazz musician Noel Catura. But for this month, however, that's just the beginning.
As our web visits counter on the events calendar reaches 43 different visitors, the calendar remains quite long for the next few months. As usual, the majority of these will be in the first half of the month.
December (although other events will be on the calendar as businesses update their calendars) is covered in five days of action. We begin the month tonight at 7 PM for the Tri-Valley Jazz Trio concert with Noel Catura. This will be followed with two music events on December 2nd: live music at Backyard Bayou with Natalia Susoeff and Noel Catura with the Groove Doctors at Main Street Brewery.
We then jump more than a week to December 10th, where we see two exciting jazz events. One of these is a Charged Particles jazz concert at Pleasanton Library. The Charged Particles Jazz Trio goes around the world playing jazz, from Indonesia to Arkansas to California. To learn more, visit chargedparticles.com. The other event on December 10th is our usual Retzlaff Vineyards concert with Matt Finders & Friends.
Next, on December 11th, the "Hot Sardines" will be at Bankhead Theater at 7:30 PM, followed by Chris Bradley's monthly concert at Castle Rock Restaurant on December 12th, at 7:30 PM.
Originally, a concert of young local musicians in the Tri-Valley was scheduled (although never on the calendar) for December 17th, but that was cancelled.
Events continue into 2018, and these will expand with a likely Tri-Valley Jazz Trio performance on January 7th (with 13-year-old saxophonist Sean Huang) along with the Tri-Valley Jazz Trio performance with Hugo Wainzinger on January 5th.
Karen Marguth's January Bankhead Theater performance is also on our calendar. There are only two events currently scheduled in February, and these will be covered in future articles.
